October 2026
Book Club, Experiment Edition
Dear friends,
Some Wise Humanity Book Club news!
Laura, who has been leading our Book Club for over four years, has come up with something new, and I'm delighted to share her plan with you.
On Sunday 11 October, we'll wrap up Connect, discussing the last chapter and epilogue.
The next "pick" will be an experiment: a TV series instead of a book.
We'll watch HBO's "The Rehearsal" together.

It's a 2-season docu-style satire from 2022 by comedian Nathan Fielder about navigating difficult situations and communication.
Season 1 is about the absurdity of over-preparing; Season 2 is about how co-pilots handle conflict in the cockpit, which is particularly relevant for next year's retreat, The Good Fight.
The idea is: everybody will watch a few episodes (they're quite short) in their own time, and then we'll discuss them together at our Sunday calls.
The plan
Watch episodes 1, 2 and 3, Season 1. We'll discuss them on Sunday 18 October.
- Episode 1: "Orange Juice, No Pulp", 44 minutes
- Episode 2: "Scion", 29 minutes
- Episode 3: "Gold Digger", 29 minutes
We'll discuss episodes 4, 5 and 6, Season 1 on Sunday 25 October.
And for Season 2, we'll be watching and discussing one episode every Sunday from 1 November to 6 December.
if you want to participate.

What's more, we'll also read Wise Humanity member Spider Graham's new novel, Silentfall: The Vanishing.
We'll read the book over the course of a month and then meet on a TBD Sunday to discuss it together.
Meantime, please send your suggestions for our next book club pick after the TV series. We'll create a survey to vote on it.
Hope you can join us!
Big hugs,
Laura and Davide
